About

Eco Group

At Eco Group, we work closely with all governing municipalities and carefully chosen material suppliers in finding new solutions to challenges facing property owners, everyday, making sure that whatever work is done is completed to the highest of standards. We also work in conjunction with builders, architects, masons, permitting agencies, surveyors, engineers, excavators, real estate agents and property management teams in a group setting which is customized to each project such that every variable of that project is comprehensively pored over to the degree to which no concept, work or result falls short in any way.

“I once again hired Mark Barauskas from Ecobarrier/Eco Group. This project entailed the construction of a long driveway on an oceanfront property.  It was complicated by multiple zoning and variance issues due to environmental concerns. Additionally, there were logistical problems because of the placement of the allowed driveway. Not only were the permits expedited with the Town of East Hampton by the extreme efforts of Mark, but the construction was done quickly by him and priced reasonably. I have been using Mark’s services for several years now, and I have never been disappointed in the quality of the work or the amount I have paid.  Mark is a dedicated professional, who works carefully with you, helps educate you, and invites you into the process to help make the best decision for your project.”

“We contracted Mark Barauskas, of Ecobarrier/Eco Group, to design and implement a wetlands restoration on our 8.5 acre property. Mark worked with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, as well as Martin E. Shea, Chief Environmental Analyst for the Town Of Southampton, to design a plan with minimum intrusion that contained natural plantings which were attractive and well arranged. When the agents from the conservation entities made their site inspections, they praised Mark for his execution of a thorough and compliant project. I strongly recommend Mark for any similar projects and would be pleased to show prospective clients the excellent results of our project.”

“We have been pleased with the work and the insights of Mark T. Barauskas, both in the efficient installation of standard erosion barrier systems, and in the navigating of the often murky state and local environmental codes in successfully and quickly developing a new and more cost effective erosion containment system for a very complex project in East Hampton Village. I do not hesitate in recommending him.”

“My wife and I met Mark T. Barauskas when we were desperately trying to solve the bluff erosion problem at our harbor front house in East Hampton, where we had been losing land every year and had finally reached a critical point of loss.

After meeting him, Mark developed and implemented an anti-erosion structure and bluff restoration for us in the most efficient, creative, professional and expedited fashion. He skillfully navigated the local and state laws to help obtain approval for the system’s methods and materials. He is an incredibly honest, responsible and reliable person, and was a pleasure to work with. He is also zealous with his follow up service.

The structure he developed and installed for us withstood the battering of Hurricane Sandy, which is a great testament to the quality of his work. In conjunction with solving our erosion problem, the plant life which Mark designed and installed on the bluff face and crest plateau makes our shoreline look much better than it did when we bought the property ten years ago.
